Community Impact

Most people do not go to Kenosha, Wisconsin to find divine intervention. Many areas in Kenosha had become a slum; this is why Country Club Christian chose to take the CYF youth mission trip there. I worked at the home of Natalia. She had such a positive attitude about everything and a great outlook on life, despite the fact that she and her husband Robert did not know when their next paycheck would come. I can not remember a single time over the entire week that I saw her without a smile on her face. I came back from Kenosha with more than a good time to remember, some community service credits, and a t-shirt. I came back with a new attitude towards life.

We feel that the grant provided by outreach funds was helpful in inspiring other faith communities to support Arts in Prison. When Country Club Christian Church shows its support, Arts in Prison gains credibility.

I want to richly thank the marvelous volunteers of Country Club Christian Church for all they have done this year for the Micah Ministry. So many of our ministries have been blessed by their energy, good will and creative participation. From cooking to working with impoverished young people, to serving in the clothing pantry and providing lovely gifts at Christmastime, you are such exemplary disciples, all to be commended. We are pleased to serve our Lord with you.
