The Church and the Community
Country Club Christian Church has a long and distinguished history of providing
leadership and financial support to organizations throughout both the Kansas City
area, and across the world. The church is a leading faith-based funder, awarding
$155,000 in program and agency grants each year through its Outreach Funding (not including denominational and special offering giving).

Outreach 2006 - 2007
Habitat for Humanity $5,000-To help underwrite a Habitat house being built by the Christian Church(DOC) of Greater Kansas City.
Grace United Community Ministries $10,000-To support the After School Tutorial Program for “at risk” children.
Staffing and Supply Grants $12,000-For church-led mission trips to Nicaragua, South Africa, New Orleans, South Dakota, Chicago, and Indianapolis.
South Africa HIV and Farming Grants $15,000-Funding for three church programs in South Africa to promote chicken farming projects which supports HIV/AIDS patients.
Freedom Fire $5,000-To fund a community youth program.
The Family Conservancy $5,000-To purchase school uniforms and other clothing for inner-city children.
Country Club Christian Church Food Ministry $8,400
Funds our participation in the Argentine Food Kitchen, Cross-Lines Breakfast program and the Micah Ministry of Independence Blvd. Christian Church.
Country Club Christian Church Holiday Food Drive $1,200
To purchase holiday meats for five area pantries.
Cross-Lines Christmas Store $1,000. This fund will be used to purchase clothing as it goes on sale throughout the year.
Disciples of Christ Global Ministry $10,000
To continue funding the ministry of Catherine Nichols to Palestinian Christians in Jerusalem.
Disciples of Christ New Church Fund $10,000
To fund music and other costs at the new Mosaic Church.
Global Ministries A $3,900 matching grant for scholarships for seminary students in South Africa.
CASA $5,000 grant to extend the program to more children.
MS 150 $500 To support staff participation in the MS Society’s bike event.
