Transitions in Living--April 7 |
|
Disciples theologian Michael Kinnamon once articulated, "we don't seek unity for unity's sake. We need unity because we recognize that without others, we can't begin to fully understand ourselves." I this he meant that we not only need to be in dialogue with our brothers and sisters for the sake of fostering societies of harmony, but without creating a world where all peoples' gifts and experiences are welcomed as valid and necessary, we can't begin to see the limitless, gracious goodness of God's creation.

3.
It's Thursday, day 3 of the clinic. Today, the village of Castillo is in
matasano to see the docs, the dentist and hear the home health care talk that
Sandy gives (she does the whole thing in Spanish and it's great. Bart...well...think Vanna White. He displays the stuff while Sandy does
the talking).
