Church members gathered on Sat., Oct. 9 at Concourse Park to plant trees throughout the park and into the surrounding neighborhoods in the Northeast Kansas City as a service component marking our centennial celebration. Working with Heartland Tree Alliance (HTA), trees were planted in the park area, on street property and in individual neighbors’ yards. The trees will be maintained by HTA for two years to ensure their growth. Trees help provide a healthy outdoor environment in neighborhoods promoting the health and wellness of the community. This gift of trees for this area will be a legacy of our centennial benefiting others that grows year by year. A huge thanks to all who were able to help plant trees. Check out this video about the event!
