A team of 21 members and friends of Country Club Christian Church leaves on Saturday, Feb. 20, to conduct medical clinics and work on construction projects among the poorest of the poor in rural Nicaragua.

The team was commissioned by the congregation during worship on Feb. 14 with these words from the Apostle Paul: “My sisters and brothers, I want you to know the truth about gifts from the Holy Spirit. There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit gives them. There are different ways of serving, but the same God is served. There are different abilities to perform service, but the same God gives ability to each of us for our particular service.”

Check back here starting on Sunday for updates from the team. Access to technology in the Nicaragua mountains is limited, but updates will be posted as often as possible. Please also take the time to write a word of encouragement to the team in the comments section.

This is Country Club Christian Church’s fifth trip to Nicaragua, working in partnership with CEPAD, the Council of Protestant Churches in Nicaragua.
