Country Club Christian Church has volunteered to send a mission team to help with the recovery and rebuilding efforts in Joplin after last week’s tornado. If you are interested in participating, please contact Betsy Wilson or call the church office. We are working in partnership with Disciples Home Mission Office and Week of Compassion. They are currently assessing the situation and will let us know when our help is needed. The trip could be weeks from now or even months. For now, however, they have asked us to “pray, pay and stay.” Pray for the victims and first responders. Pay our donations to Week of Compassion as they spread the hope of Christ to those suffering in Joplin. Stay put until they call for our hands and feet to join in the work.

Country Club Christian Church is in communication with Week of Compassion, the relief, refugee and development mission fund of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), on the needs in Joplin, Mo., after the devestating tornado yesterday. Right now the biggest need is financial contributions, which can provide immediate relief in the area. Check back for updates on additional response efforts.
