The group attended church today at a local Baptist church. The church had been damaged badly during the earthquake in January 2010.
The church had walls and a Tin roof. There were open spaces where doors perhaps had been at one time. Electricity provided both minimal lighting and a sound system. Our group was seated in the front upon our arrival. Dr Miles had been asked to preach and did so providing our hosts with a moving sermon centered on Jesus enduring love.
There was great enthusiasm and many amens from our hosts during Dr. miles sermon.
Following the sermon, we were greeted by many of the congregation with handshakes, kisses on the cheek and many hugs. It was another moving moment among many shared at the service.
