Local artist, Bernadette “Bernie” Lee, will be at The Well on Sun., Nov. 20 selling notecards and prints. Proceeds benefit Week of Compassion.
After almost 30 years as a fine wine professional, a permanent shoulder injury left her unable to lift cases of wine, but she was still able to lift a pen and paintbrush. Her previous hobby of painting landscapes and drawing custom home portraits, has evolved into a passion for creating lasting memories of places that people hold close to their heart. The detailed iconic scenes of Kansas City take from five days up to two weeks to sketch, and then finish in pen and watercolor.
