Children & Family Ministry

Country Club Christian Church’s Ministries to Children and Families offers many opportunities for faith formation and relationship development. We seek to engage children in developmentally appropriate ways as they grow in faith. From year around experiences to special celebrations children at Country Club Christian Church are an involved and integral part of our congregation.

Special Celebrations in the Faith Life of Children

Infant and Child Dedications
For children ages birth to 3-year-olds. May be scheduled by emailing or calling Catherine Stark-Corn at 816-333-4917.

Backpack Blessing
At the beginning of the academic year, all school-aged children bring their backpacks to worship for a prayer for the new year.

3rd Grade Bible Presentation
Bibles are presented to 3rd graders each fall during the 9:01 a.m. service at the beginning of the school year.

Connect

Club Kids
This gathering for 3rd – 5th graders meets on weekly on Sunday evenings throughout the school year.  Fun activities and games are the focus, where the older elementary aged boys and girls build friendships and connections with the church. Off site outings are scheduled for Club Kids. Service opportunities are part of the experience including a family caroling party; outreach to homebound members and volunteering at Harvesters.  An annual overnight happens in the Spring.

Spring Fling – Egg Hunt
Families gather for a picnic lunch, activities and an egg hunt on the church lawn after church in the spring. Community families join in the fun to make this a special celebration.

Trunk or Treat
This annual fall tradition gets the entire congregation involved in the fun of Halloween as members decorate their cars for this Sunday evening Trunk or Treat.  Families enjoy getting into costumes, sharing a meal together and going trunk to trunk for candy and treats.  Held each year in October.

Parents Night Out
Children 3rd grade and under are invited to send their parents out for the evening while they have fun at church.  Youth and adult leaders supervise the children as they play, enjoy snacks and group activities.  Our youngest ones are cared for by trained childcare staff.
