What to Expect on Sundays

Many of our normal gatherings, including all those listed below, have been suspended indefinitely due to Covid-19.

However, we have many Covid-safe opportunities planned. We invite you to join our Children and Families newsletter, or to contact April Booth for more information.

And we invite you to online worship each week, which includes a Moment for Children.

9:01 and Creator’s Place

9:01 is our casual, family friendly, worship format that honors our traditional Sanctuary worship space while reaching people with a timely message for today. This service features lively and engaging music, families with children participating by lighting candles and reading scripture, a children’s blessing and moment for children before they depart to age-appropriate activities in Creator’s Place on the second floor for the second half of the service. A staff member will escort children to the appropriate room each Sunday.

Children’s Choir 9:45 a.m.

Children ages 5 yrs old – 5th grade are invited to sing in the Children’s Choir led by Sara and Alex Goering.  The choir sings several times throughout the year in the 9:01 or 11:00 worship services and prepares and performs a musical in early spring each year.  For more information contact Sara and Alex.

Sunday School, 9:55-10:55 a.m.

Preschool & Kindergarten Classes (Rooms 208 and 210)
Utilizing a mix of the curriculum Deep Blue and the Worship & Wonder storytelling program younger children encounter biblical stories and ideas in age appropriate ways.

1st – 5th Grades – Footsteps in Faith
Elementary age children participate in an experiential workshop format during the Sunday School hour.  Each month long workshop series focuses on a single biblical story as the children move from a cooking session, to art, to drama and more week by week.
