Fall Service Opportunities

Lara Schopp Serve, Uncategorized

Many of our service partners across the city have had to modify their operations in the wake of the pandemic. However, there are still opportunities to serve this fall.

Micah Ministry at Independence Boulevard Christian Church
This partner in the Northeast serves meals each Monday evening (our church sponsors the 2nd Tuesday) . Help setting up, serving, etc is needed each Monday evening.

Cross-Lines Community Outreach
Cross-Lines offers a range of support services to the Argentine neighborhood.  Our church sponsors and serves lunch on the first Tuesday of the month.  Additional opportunities to serve in the food pantry, community garden, senior food boxes are available.

Our church partners with Harvesters to provide Back Snacks to Hartman And Garfield Elementary Schools in KCPS.  Due to remote learning BackSnacks are not currently being distributed, other volunteer opportunities are available.

Something to Eat
This project hosted by the Snack Shack in the Argentine area of KCK is a great family friendly chance to serve. Family units can work together to measure and pack nutritious meals. Boxes of packed meals are shared with some of our mission partners - Cross-Lines and Della Lamb.
