Our Prayer Ministry begins an exciting new outreach this month as we go “on the road” Thur., Aug. 18 to Kingswood Senior Living Community. Everyone is welcome to join us for prayer, a simple service with communion, and fellowship. We will gather with Kingswood’s residents in their parlor from 10:00-10:45 a.m. Kingswood is located at 10000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, MO 64114. The
property is undergoing extensive remodeling and expansion, so please allow a little extra time for construction detours in both the parking lots and hallways.
The Kingswood visit inaugurates our new Prayer Ministry on the Road. On the third Thursday of each month we will go to a different local retirement community or health care facility to pray and visit with residents. The time and format will be flexible to accommodate each particular community’s
needs.
Beginning Thur., Sept. 8, our Prayer Ministry moves from Fridays to its new date and time – Thursday, 10:30 a.m., Room 201. Everyone is welcome to join us for a quiet prayer time in which we lift up the joys and concerns of our congregation and our world.
