Nicaragua Mission Trips

Country Club Christian Church works in partnership with CEPAD, the Protestant council of Churches in Nicaragua. We work in CEPAD’s Nehemiah program designed to facilitate partnerships between communities in Nicaragua and U.S. churches and organizations. CEPAD’s vision is to serve alongside communities struggling with poverty and to promote justice, peace and solidarity with the aim of improving quality of life. CEPAD works with each community over several years to facilitate independence in the areas of agriculture, education, community infrastructure (clean water, sanitation) and governance.

Typical Volunteer Opportunities Include:

Medical Clinic: Assist medical personnel, client check in, pharmacy runner, take blood pressure and weigh children.

Home Health Kits: Help put together home health kits including toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, antibiotic ointment, Band-Aids, and pain relief medications.

Health Education Classes: We provide home health kits to all families in each community as well as education in general health and hygiene.

Construction Project: Work alongside the people of Nicaragua in growing their community; construction may include laying walls for a community center, digging a latrine, etc.

Financial Support: Donate toward trip scholarships for  high school student participants or medical clinic resources. Write “Nicaragua scholarship” or “Nicaragua medical” in the memo line of your check and place it in the offering plate.
