Here’s an update on how Country Club Christian Church is supporting our community during the COVID-19 crisis.

Easter Offering Update

This year’s Easter Offering has raised $8,000 to date. We are supporting Care Beyond the Boulevard and KC Care Health Center, two organizations in Kansas City providing quality health care for our most vulnerable neighbors. If you’d like to give to this offering, click here and choose Ester Offering from the drop-down menu.

Emergency Mission Partnership Grants

The Grants and Special Offerings team has made remaining funds for the year available to support key mission partners who are in dire need as they navigate the current COVID-19 crisis. As of this week we have awarded grants to reStart, Sheffield Place, Shepherds Center, and Amethyst Place. These organizations continue their residential and outreach programs to provide critical care to clients and neighbors.

Feeding the Hungry

We asked for your help to feed our hungry neighbors and you did! We are sending an additional $820 between Cross-Lines Community Outreach and Della Lamb Community Services to help support their food pantries. Food scarcity is a greater level due to current financial and social circumstances, therefore, more than ever food pantries are critical in the lives of our community. You can continue to provide additional support to our neighbors by giving here and choosing Food Drive.

Cotton Face Masks for Safety

Our sewing team continues its amazing outreach by sewing cotton masks for local partners, medical professionals, first responders, and community members. As we continue our social distancing and best health practices we have masks available to congregation members who are in need. Please contact our Director of Mission Partnerships, Corey Meyer, if you would like a mask.
