About Our Services
Communion is celebrated weekly at all of our services, and all are welcome to participate. Child care is provided during all services. While the sermon is the same at all three services, each service has its own tone and style:
9:01 is a casual, family friendly, worship format that honors our traditional Sanctuary worship space while reaching people with a timely message for today. During the summer, this service is held on the lawn, in the front of the church and is not live-streamed. This service features lively and engaging music, families with children participating by lighting candles and reading scripture, a children’s blessing and moment for children before they depart to age-appropriate activities for the second half of the service, and a time of prayer and sermon in the second half will allow adults to be fully present and focus on God. This service is designed make it easy and comfortable for younger children to participate.
The 10:00 a.m. service is a quiet, intimate service held in the charming Combs Chapel, featuring music by soloists, ensembles or instrumentalists, and weekly communion. Each week you’ll be greeted warmly by familiar faces and invited into a comfortable, welcoming and unpretentious time of worship and reflection. While this service is not live broadcast, our online visitors will be able to enjoy a repeat broadcast of the day’s 9:01 service.
At 11:00 a.m. (currently held in the Combs Chapel due to construction in the Sanctuary), you’ll inspired by the traditional worship, challenged by the progressive message, and renewed by the music. This service includes passed communion for all who wish to partake, time for silent meditation, classic hymns and pipe organ, featured musical guests along with our Chancel Choir, with musical offerings of varying styles consistent with traditional worship. This service is live-streamed.
