Scouts

Perhaps the oldest, continuously running program in the church is our Scouting America program. Scouting began at our church in 1923, and we have supported Troop 1084 each year since then. Teaching time-tested values, leadership, and emergency preparedness, the Scouting program continues to adapt to the needs and interests of our youth. The Cub Scout program for younger boys began several years later. In 2018, Scouting opened both programs to girls and renamed them Scouting America. Our church now sponsors Cub Pack 4084 for boys and girls in kindergarten through fifth grade and Scout Troops 1084 for boys and 7084 for girls aged 11 through 17.

Our Scouting units typically meet on Monday nights, beginning at 6:15pm for Cub Scouts and 7:30pm for the two Troops. The Troops meet weekly, have monthly campouts, and offer frequent community service projects. All our units have age-appropriate summer camps and high adventure trips. Anyone interested in joining is welcome to visit a meeting!
