Roots Young Adult Ministry

Lara Schopp Adult-ministry, Connect, Visitor Information, Youth Ministry

Roots provides opportunities for adults in their 20s and 30s to connect as community, to learn and grow spiritually, and to make a change in our city through service-learning projects. We’re excited to announce some upcoming events this fall for Roots and invite you to join us for one, three, or all of these chances to connect and grow together. For each of the events, we’ll practice social distancing and stay outdoors or, if needed and as able, will host the event on Zoom.

Service Project with the Urban Farming Guys, Saturday, October 31, 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
Meet us in Northeast Kansas City for a morning serving with the Urban Farming Guys, a nonprofit that does holistic community development and urban gardening in Northeast Kansas City. Afterwards, we’ll grab lunch to-go and find somewhere to eat together!

Bible & Beer Sunday, November 15, 6:30-8:00 p.m.
Join us for a night of conversation & connection as we enjoy a drink or two together and talk about the Bible, its history, and meaning for us today through creative and engaging conversation. Location TBD; if weather is too cold or poor to meet in-person safely, we’ll meet via Zoom.
