This year the special offering team has selected two local, long-time partners as recipients of the Christmas offering. Cross-Lines Community Outreach, and Grace United Community Ministries, both provide services to those affected by poverty, houselessness and hunger.

Cross-Lines provides services to those in their community who are affected by poverty, with services and opportunities that encourage self-confidence and self-sufficiency. They assist in housing and homelessness through Utility Assistance, Rent assistance, street outreach and emergency showers. CCCC volunteers have helped serve in the Community Kitchen for over 25 years. For additional information on Cross-Lines visit cross-lines.org.

Grace United Community Ministries works hand in hand with families and individuals in the Northeast area to address their basic physical, educational, and spiritual needs to empower them to break the cycle of poverty and live a purposeful life. Grace United hosts a preschool, an after-school tutoring program, and a summer learning and recreational program for ages 6-13. They also provide a food pantry and weekly community meals, a clothing closet and a community garden. For additional information on Grace United visit graceunitedkc.org.
