The sanctuary, children’s wing and parlor have now reopened. Our sacred space shines with hospitality and the sounds of laughter, conversation and music fill our souls. We have truly launched The Next 100! Your prayers throughout, patience during construction and financial support for the campaign will help enable our church to be a vital and relevant and part of our community for the next 100 years. We have momentum and want to finish the work we have started which remains on budget and on schedule. We are asking you to make a gift that is meaningful to you to support the extension of The Next 100 campaign and complete its vision of grace and hospitality.
Launching Phase 2 Projects and Supporting Outreach. With your support, we can commit to the important projects that had to be cut from Phase 1 construction due to pandemic delays and high inflation. Phase 2 construction would create the social kitchen for small to medium events, the commercial kitchen for larger suppers or outreach, the remodeled restrooms and modern audiovisual capabilities in the Social Hall for receptions, classes and seminars.
Covering Costs of Phase 1 Construction and Supporting Affordable Housing. The campaign extension covers the remaining outstanding construction costs from Phase 1 and completes our mission commitment to build affordable housing for our vulnerable neighbors in Kansas City.
Completing the Vision of Grace and Hospitality. With additional funding, we can cost-effectively start Phase 2 construction projects in early 2024 with our current contractor already on-site.
