Everything is taking shape!

If you drive by the church on Ward Parkway, you might not see the incredible amount of work that is being done on the east side of the building. But this week, we are starting to see the east entry being framed out and really starting to “take shape”. There is a lot of work still to be done on the east side, but we can start to see the very real “footprint” of our new welcoming entry space.

Elsewhere in the building, we continue to prepare for our preschool children to return this Tuesday. Classrooms are coming together and we are so excited to have our children back in the building.

If you’ve been watching this space, we have tried to be as transparent as possible on reentering the sanctuary. We get questions everyday about when we will get back in. It was always going to be a close call if we are ready for the 10th or not due to supply chain issues, and the very specific order of things that need to be done in order to be ready for Sunday services again. So we are asking for a bit more patience before we officially set a reopening date. Regardless of when we open the sanctuary, we do want folks to be prepared to work around construction still. Our contractor will continue to work on the parlor area after we return. We will be learning the new A/V system. There may still be little pieces of work here and there that we have to do. Because of that, we are going to wait another few days before officially setting our reopening date. We will communicate broadly when we know, and we are excited for you all to see the space!
