Regardless of where we are in our faith journey, the call to love, serve and give in the name of God is strong. Stewardship is one way of acting on this invitation. Our annual stewardship campaign is underway, and this year’s theme is Love, Serve, Give. The goal of our annual stewardship campaign is to secure the resources we need to effectively minister to our congregation, our community and the world in the coming year, and to give members a chance to use their gifts to serve in the ministry.
Events
We invite you to join us at one of several dessert parties at which we will share a discussion on the opportunities before us as a church in the next decade, and how this year’s annual stewardship campaign plays a part. If you’d like to attend one of these events, click here.
Prayer Service
Please join us Thur., May 13 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary for a Service of Prayer for our “Love, Serve, Give” stewardship campaign. This candlelight service will be a marvelous opportunity for our community of faith to gather and pray for our church. It will also be our last opportunity to worship with Glen before his sabbatical begins on May 16. We will read from scripture, sing hymns and be guided in the service by a number of our lay leaders.
Glen will present a brief homily titled, “Dreaming with God,” based on Proverbs 29, “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” (KJV) One of the aspects of our stewardship campaign has been an invitation to our members to dream of what kind of church we might be known as by the time we reach our 100th birthday, ten years from now.
Please join us for this opportunity to pray and dream together about what kind of church we will become.
Comitment Sunday
Commitment Sunday, the day you turn in your pledge card, in May 23. Please bring your pledge card to worship with you that day, or drop it by the church office by May 23.
