Sun., Oct. 24, 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.
We are looking forward to gathering again for continued learning, conversation and spiritual grounding as we wrestle with the deep roots of injustice that surrounds us. We are seeking to answer God’s call to do justice and gathering to support, challenge and engage one another is the foundation we need as we commit to dismantle systems of oppression in our own lives, selves and spheres of influence.
This month we will visit The Open Table, a dinner church seeking to create space for hospitality, conversation, peace and reconciliation, rooted in contemplation and theology. The speaker will be Rev. Eric Garbison, from Cherith Brook who will lead on the topic, “The Power of the Poor.” The Open Table is housed at Second Presbyterian Church, 55th and Oak. Bring your own dinner at 6:00 p.m., program begins at 6:30 p.m.. Weather permitting it will be outdoors. Tyler, Catheirne and Hannah will be there to gather our group for this chance to hear other perspectives and learn of everyday justice.
